Adding players to fall 2005 rosters

17 Oct 05

Adding players to fall 2005 rosters:
After the initial player registration, you may add players to your roster (up to 25) through Tuesday, 8 November. No players may be added to fall rosters after this date.

Materials & fees may be mailed to: Registration Administrator, 14925-B Memorial Dr., Ste 202, Houston TX 77079, but eligibility is based on date/time of receipt of materials, not postmark.

Players must be registered by 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (8:30 a.m. for HFA drop box at Bear Creek) to be eligible the following Saturday/Sunday/Monday.

To add a player:
1. Have the player complete the top half of the player registration form (download here). You fill out the bottom half of the form -- most important is the team rep phone & address, plus team name.

2. Have the player complete the front of a ID card (available at league meetings and from registration administrator), leaving ID # blank and attaching a photo. The team rep should complete the back. See samples.

3. If a player is transferring to your team from an existing HWSA team (registered with HWSA on or after September 1, 2005), the player's current team rep MUST sign the "manager release" portion of the player registration form. A new player ID card or the player's ID card from the previous team must be submitted. "Transfer" only refers to players switching teams within a competition, i.e. from a coed team to another coed team playing on the same night. A player must be registered with and have an ID card for every team they play on.

3. Submit completed form, completed ID with photo attached and appropriate payment ($30 per player PLUS $6 per transfer) to the HFA office (14925 B Memorial Dr., Ste 202, Houston TX 77079, 281-531-0320) or to the HFA drop box at Bear Creek Park (between fields 20 and 21). Make check payable to HWSA and write team name on the memo line.

4. Complete payment and registration materials must be in the hands of the registration administrator no later than 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (8:30 a.m. if materials are put in the HFA drop box) for a player to be eligible the following Saturday/Sunday/Monday. No exceptions.

5. The team rep will be sent new IDs for receipt by Saturday (make sure you provide your full address on the bottom of the player registration forms). All players must have a current player ID card specific to their team to be eligible to play. The referee does not have to make an exception.

6. Team reps can check who's currently registered by logging into the HWSA database using email address and PIN. Rosters are updated every Tuesday evening. Contact the registration administrator if you need a PIN. Only team reps should contact the administrator.

7. HWSA has a no-refund policy.
