OLD BUSINESS

The 2000-2001 budget presented at the June meeting was approved with no changes.

NEW BUSINESS

1. Coed league team registration forms are due at the end of the meeting.

2. Sandy Lewis (Synergy) presented a letter protesting overly aggressive play in the women’s league.  She asked that players play in a manner that is consistent with the recreational nature of the game.  In the general discussion that followed it was suggested that: speaking to the referees about control of the game beforehand might be helpful; filing a grievance with the league is the only way to provide a written record of repeated misconduct by a player or team; teams should be self-policing (poorly behaved players should be let go); and that game cards should be checked for accuracy on the part of the referee by the team captain at the end of the match.

3. Acting Secretary Tom Whitehurst decreed that game cards will hereinafter be named “game report forms” or “game reports” to avoid confusion with player cards, yellow cards and red cards.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The next league meeting will be August 31st at 7:30 p.m. at Saegerbund Hall.  This date will allow sufficient time to process player registration materials and prepare schedules before the start of the fall seasons.  Player registration forms and fees are due at this time.
