Vice president:
1. Women’s – a violent conduct incident occurred that resulted in the fining and suspension of several players. Please remember that this is a recreational league.
2. Coed – an incident occurred where a player did not sub out for a yellow card. The D&P committee ruled that the game would be re-played. HWSA is looking into a new ruling that would result in a team forfeiting any game in which a player receives a yellow card but does not sub out.
3. Referees – please remember that the referees ref in various leagues, each with different rules. Don’t wait for the ref to tell you to sub out for a yellow card, do it yourself [coed only].
4. Constitution – a recent change in the HWSA constitution resulted in escalating penalties for red cards. Red cards for violent conduct/fights result in a 3-game suspension and an appearance before the D&P to justify continued play in the league. Threatening the referee results in a 15-game suspension, and assaulting a referee results in a lifetime suspension from the league.
Secretary:
1.
Please
pay fines. Check with Sandra
before you leave tonight. Coed
fines must be paid before summer player registration on May 22.
2.
If
anyone is not receiving the emails, please let Sandra know.
Registrar:
1. Some cards available tonight. Needs to see Allies, Chaos, Footloose, and Hackers reps.
2. Coed rosters available tonight. Please use them for summer player registration. And, email the Registrar with changes.
3. The drop box can be used after 9pm, but please do not call or knock on door after 9pm.
4. The league is looking into a new software program is available that is relatively inexpensive. It’s based on Microsoft Access and was designed by a friend of the TSSAS administrator. HWSA would buy the rights to use it. It has better features (especially for rosters) and could increase response time for the Registrar.
5. If you need a roster, email the Registrar. And, you need to complete and send in a state cup roster form.
