MINUTES
The meeting was called to order by Jen Cooper, President, at 7:32 p.m. at Saengerbund Hall.

Minutes were approved with the correction that Pam Gregg was absent from the 10/6 meeting.
OFFICER REPORTS
President:
1. GOALS from the board retreat in
Galveston: develop more women's teams (coed &
corporate are maxed out because of number of lit fields), a clean
league (zero tolerance for discipline problems), more PR (exposure
from Olympics, World Cup), more fields (lit & unlit), more
fundraising.
2. We still need a PR Manager. We're forming a Year 2000 PR Committee. Sandra Olmo, Jessica Meadows, Trista Crow and Alex Flenner volunteered to be on the committee.
Vice president:
1. Three unclaimed awards from summer coed: No Play, Synergy and
Spring Branch. Pick these up from Vicky.
Secretary:
No report
Treasurer:
Budget available.
Registrar:
1. All ID cards have been mailed. Teams need to present the
cards at EVERY game. After November 15, you can't register any
additional players for the fall season.
2. Spring team registration will be at the January meeting.
Senior commissioner:
1. Tournaments: Jan/Feb - Reps will get an email with details
for the Austin tournament. HWSA coed tournament is Feb. 19/20. HFA
Men's tournament is in March. Thefee is $250, Pam can get you more
information. The Fiesta women's tournament is April 15-16.
2. For any women's teams interested in National Cup, the deadline is in January.
3. State Cup is in San Antonio. Coed is the first week in May. Women's is the first weekend in March. The men's is a traveling tournament in the Jan./Feb. timeframe.
4. The Mardi Gras women's tournament in New Orleans is limited to 32 teams, first come, first serve. Deadline December 15.
5. There are TOOO many cards in the Corporate league! 4 reds and 35 yellows so far this season!
Women's Commissioner:
1. Standings available
online.
2. There are 15 make-up games that need to be played. Friday nights are available at Alief. Some Sunday nights may be available.
Coed Commissioner:
1. The make-up schedule is available as well as standings.
2. In order to get all of the games made up before Christmas, some teams may have more than one game in a week.
3. Thursday night is a possible game night. Give your feedback to Stephen.
4. If you need a place to train at night, see Stephen for information.
Corporate commissioner:
1. Standings are in the mail.
2. If you don't have some of your player cards, see Richard, he has them.
3. Cancelled games will be rescheduled.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Membership:
We need a new women's membership chair for the spring. Bill Link
is taking over for coed and corporate.
Public Relations:
We still need a new Public Relations Coordinator. Talk to Jen.
Tournament:
1. Oktoberfest: 3 HWSA teams won and we had perfect weather.
There are still shirts available. If you buy a team set there will
be a BIG discount.
2. TORSO/HWSA coed tournament will be February 19-20. We are trying to get Powerade to help sponsor us. Deadline is January 31.
OLD BUSINESS
€ Proposed constitutional revisions - The proposed revisions for elections were posted in the meeting room. There was a motion and a second to approve the revisions and it passed in a vote.
NEW BUSINESS
€ Elections: The slate of President - Jen Cooper, Secretary - George Barnes, Sr. Commissioner - Pam Gregg, and Coed Coordinator - Stephen Jump was elected unopposed.
€ Budget Approval: There was a motion and a second and the budget was approved as presented.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
€ There is NO December meeting.
€ Team registration is due with a $75 deposit at the January meeting. Registration packets will be coming out from the registrar.
€ Next League meeting is January 5, 7:30 p.m. Saengerbund Hall.
€ Next Board Meeting is Sunday, November 21.
