Dallas Burn to host on Sunday, November 2,
- Call Dallas Burn for tickets. If you mention HWSA, the league will receive a rebate and you will not be charged Ticketmaster fees.

- Watch the games at Brian O’Neals in the Village
3. Registrar
- Though Mary DeBauche has assumed the majority of the registration duties, the league is in need of Registration Coordinator to replace the current Registrar. This person will be responsible for collecting game reports and assisting Mary as needed. Please contact the President if you are interested.
Vice president:
1. Suspension
- During the summer season, a player was cited for referee assault. As mandated by TSSAS, a report was submitted to the state, and the player was suspended by TSSAS for one year. Please remember to not touch the referees in any manner.
2. Vice-president needs to talk to the Orange Crush team rep after the meeting.
Secretary:

If
you missed roll call, be sure to see the Secretary after the meeting, as there
is a $10 fine for missing league meetings.
Registrar:

to see all women’s teams that have not paid field fees after the meeting. Unpaid field fees will result in forfeiting
all games until fees are paid.

2. Online game reports should be completed within 48 hours of the game.
3. Coed Commissioner needs to talk to the Revolucion team rep after the meeting.
4. Don’t forget to bring printed game reports/rosters to games. Handwritten reports are difficult to read.
1. Alief timer – remind the referees to set the timer to several minutes after the expected end of the game so that the lights will not go off before the games have ended and the fields have cleared.
2. Cullen – the park is hoping to work with the league to provide better maintenance on a weekly basis as well as re-seeding and leveling. The park has also presented a proposal to the city to become part of the “Adopt-a-Park” program, which will also assist with maintenance.
1. Coed: need new Coed Membership Committee chairman as King Farias is assuming the Coed Commissioner responsibilities. Contact the President if you are interested.

NEW BUSINESS
The referee assignor, Tim Sonnier, who is also the Assistant Director of Referee Instruction, gave a short presentation on referees and rules of the game. He then proceeded to conduct a question and answer session. Some noteworthy remarks:
“If in the opinion of the referee… The referee’s call is
final. Dissent will not change the call,
but could earn the dissenter a yellow card.”
If you are interested in becoming a referee, see the TSSAS website for
requirements and times and locations of referee instruction courses. Courses are 16 hours (1 weekend, 8 hours each
day), the cost is $15, and are offered regularly throughout
