MINUTES OF MEETING

September 28th, 2005

 

The meeting was called to order by Silvia Guzman-Urteaga, HWSA President, at Metropolitan Multi-Service Center at 7:35 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Women's teams absent: Dragons, Footloose, Hustlers, Rox

Coed teams absent: Agoholics, Band Stars, Blowout Preventers, Brasil of Houston, Drunken Pumpkins, Energetics, EPJ, Fighting Armadillos, Heat Strikers, Just Kidding, Pumas, Revolucion, Sabotage, Schlumberger, SCV Thunder, Soccer Maniacs, Stingers, SW United, Synergy Coed, Team Fortress

Board members absent: Amy Jones-Field Coordinator

OFFICER REPORTS

President:

  1. Teams using fields for practice must use league link. Teams cannot just go use the fields, but must sign up for the fields via the league website
  2. Introduced all New board members and positions : 
    1. Sarah Kerrigan- Vice Pres.
    2. Sara Rice—Registrar
    3. Dale Goldenthal-Recording Secretary

Vice president:

                        No report

Secretary:

            1. See Dale after the meeting if you missed Roll Call.

 

Registrar:

No report

Treasurer:

  1. Presented budget. Made changes in areas of Field Development, supplies, and Veterans Cup entry fee
  2. Placed $1000 in evacuees fund to cover fees for any players wanting to join the league who have been displaced by the hurricanes.
  3. Discussed revenue and expenditures; approved by members.

 

Women's Commissioner:

  1. Discussed Dallas tournament and games for the weekend
  2. Stated that women’s team standings will be posted after the next round.

 

Coed Commissioner:

            Will not reschedule past weekends rainouts until later in the season.

 

Field Coordinator

1.       Fields are available for use

            2. Upcoming tournaments:  HWSA hosting Octoberfest tournament for women’s teams.

            Registration deadline October 3rd
