MINUTES:
Teams will be recorded as absent if they do not answer

meeting. Minutes of the November 13,
2002 meeting were posted on the website; notice of posting was emailed to
everyone. Minutes of the November 13
meeting were approved as presented.
President:
1. Spring WUSA exhibition match
· Wednesday, March 26
· Atlanta Beat vs San Diego
· Rice University Track/Soccer Stadium, 7 pm
2. Houston has submitted a bid for the WUSA All-star game to be held at the University of Houston. Watch website for results.
3. Reliant Stadium is hoping to host a men’s national game (vs Mexico) in April. Watch website for dates.
Vice president:
1. The league encourages input from league members both positive and negative. However, it must be in the form of a grievance or protest.
· Protest: affects the outcome of a game
· Grievance: everything else
2. Please note, the league cannot revoke a yellow or red card, per FIFA rules.
3. Please complete referee evaluations, good or bad. We are only receiving about 2 each week. We cannot make adjustments without feedback. You do not need to know the name of the ref, just the date, time and location (i.e. field and number) of the game.
4. There is a link on the website that presents our insurance information regarding injuries. It explains what is and is not covered. You will need a form from the VP to file a claim.
Secretary:
1.
If you
missed roll call, be sure to see the secretary after the meeting, as there is a
$10 fine for missing league meetings.
2.
We are
looking for a new meeting site. If you know of a potential meeting place
(preferably air-conditioned and free), please let the secretary know.
3.
Fine
reminders were emailed to all team reps whose teams had fines. Fines must be paid by the next meeting or
your team will not be able to register.
4.
If a
team forfeits at the field, they are responsible for the entire $40 referee
fee. If your team did not forfeit, do not pay the ref.
5.
Do not
forget to complete the online game reports after each game. These are in
addition to the hardcopy game reports given to the ref. Do not forget to note
on the report whether there was a forfeit and if the ref was paid.
6.
The
team rep contact list needs to be updated. Some of the fine emails were
returned, indicating that the email addresses were not up-to-date. See the
secretary after the meeting to confirm your contact info.
7.
Each
team (including new teams) has a registration packet waiting for them. Please
pick them up after the meeting.
Registrar:
1. Registration packets do not include rosters as the registrar is having software export problems. Email the registrar to request a roster. Please review for accuracy. Send corrections to the registrar.
2. The registrar is reviewing the need for a software upgrade.
3. Registration reminder for new teams: please complete your player registration forms correctly and completely.
4. Teams going to State Cup will be a priority.
5. Extra cards and stickers are available tonight after the meeting. If any team reps have extras, please return them as they are difficult to obtain from the state.
Treasurer:
